Our Christmas website is live and taking orders right now! You can browse the website and place your festive orders right up until the 15th December 2023. All you need to do is fill your basket with goodies and select your preferred collection location (Perth or Auchterarder). Alternatively, enter your delivery address if you would like our Simon Howie elves to deliver your order to your door. Please note that all deliveries are charged at £4.99.
We ask for payment upfront when you place a Christmas order with us for collection or delivery. Doing this means we can offer a super-efficient service when it comes to handing out your Christmas orders on your preferred collection or delivery day.
It’s now super easy to pay online. We can accept most major credit and debit cards. You’ll also receive a receipt and order confirmation detailing what you’ve ordered and when it’s due to be collected or delivered. Giving you peace of mind that your Christmas dinner is effectively sorted well in advance of the big day! Hooray!
However, we understand that ordering online is not for everyone. If you prefer to place your order the more traditional way, you can give us a call or pop into our Perth or Auchterarder shop, and one of our helpful butchers will take your order and payment.
Orders placed for collection can be picked up from 7 am on the 22nd, 23rd or 24th of December. Just choose your preferred collection date at checkout.
The shops are open from 7 am for festive collections, but our system is very efficient, and there are no long queues throughout the day, so please don’t feel you need to come early to avoid a long wait. The longest line of the day is always at 7 am, waiting for the shop to open, so have an easy morning and pop down when you are ready!
Please make sure that if you are collecting on the 22nd or 23rd you collect your order before 2pm and if your collection is booked for the 24th please collect by 1pm. Our hard working butcher teams will have been working long hours in the run up to Christmas to provide you with an exceptional shopping experience, so we are keen to get them home to their families as early as possible on Christmas Eve for a well-deserved rest! If you are placing an order for Hogmanay, please collect your order by 1pm on the 31st.
TOP TIP: For collections, bring a bag for life with you. Orders can be tricky to carry, and a large and sturdy bag will make life easier!
If you are looking to have your Christmas feast delivered to your door, before checking out, make sure to confirm that your address is within the Simon Howie local delivery area. Here’s a brief rundown of where we can deliver:
If you’ve chosen to have your order delivered, unfortunately, we can’t give you a delivery slot. However, all deliveries should be made before 4 pm and we will aim to get to you as early as possible each day. Please feel free to leave a cool box in a safe place and instruct us where to leave your order in the customer notes section of the checkout to save you from having to wait at home.
We totally get that between now and Christmas, things can change. You might end up with extra guests and need to add another roast to your order or maybe you forgot to add those all-important pigs in blankets!Â
Whatever the reason, If you need to amend your order, we will do our very best to accommodate any reasonable requests.
If you want to add any items to your order, the easiest thing to do is place another order online and mention in the order comments that you have placed another festive order. If you are ordering for delivery and incur a second delivery charge for the same day, don’t worry, we will spot this and make sure the additional £4.99 is refunded.
If you need to change anything else, such as removing items or changing quantities, please contact us and we will do our best to help (we will send you a secure payment link to settle any additional costs or refund you as appropriate.)

Please note that orders cannot be changed or cancelled after our order books close on 15th December, and no refunds will be given.
We plan to keep our order books open until 15th December. But please be aware that popular items or delivery slots may sell out before then and become unavailable. So book your order in early to avoid disappointment.Â
If we close our order books before the 15th, we will announce this on our social channels and give our customers as much warning as possible to get their orders in.Â
