Sausage and Bacon Sausage Rolls

ingredients

1 pack of Simon Howie Premium Pork Sausages (deskinned)

8 rashers of Simon Howie Smoked Streaky Bacon

half an onion (diced)

1 sheet of puff pastry (room temperature)

milk to seal and egg wash to glaze

Method

  1. Cut the bacon into small pieces and fry on a medium heat with the onion until the onion is softened and the bacon is nicely cooked.
  2. Add the bacon mix to the sausage meat and mix together
  3. Roll out the puff pastry sheet and use a knife to cut down the middle lengthways.
  4. put the sausage and bacon mix down the middle of each pastry section.
  5. Brush the edges with milk and then fold over and seal.
  6. Egg wash the top and then cut into small sausage roll portions.
  7. Cook in a preheated oven (180 degrees) for 30 minutes or until golden.
